Gerber Cutting Operator

Full time
Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm
Competitive Wages up to $14/hour

This role requires the following skills/qualifications:

Physically check cutting room tools before starting
Analyze production plan
Pull fabric for order
Check each ply for defects
Make out tickets and double check to assure information is correct
Analyze marker to assure all parts are in marker
Compare marker piece against layer paper
Check carefully to assure proper fabric is pulled before spreading
Check fabric roll for defect and color
Recut any and all recut pieces
Able to compile cutting documentation
Able to meet daily production needs
Able to use straight knife and hand cutters
Have the ability to multitask
Able to read a tape measure
Able to run manual Chickadee hand cutter
Able to run large manual straight knife cutter
Able to run automatic Gerber cutter
Able to understand the different types of fabric defects
Able to prepare bundle tickets
Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Complete and fill out all daily spread sheet and calculate yardage consumption sheet
Able to spread fabric and use straight edge cutter
